frequently asked questions
How do Worlds calls work?
Worlds connects you with another person through a voice call in the app. When a call is available, you’ll get an invitation — accept it and you’re talking. After the call, you can record a short voice reflection about the conversation.
My microphone or audio isn’t working
First, make sure Worlds has microphone permission in your device settings (Settings → Worlds → Microphone on iOS). If the other person can’t hear you, try disconnecting Bluetooth headphones, closing other apps that use the mic, and restarting the app. If audio is choppy, check your internet connection.
I’m not getting notifications or missed call invitations
Check that notifications are enabled for Worlds in your device settings and that Do Not Disturb or Focus modes aren’t silencing them. If you miss a call invitation, don’t worry — you’ll be invited to future calls.
How do I manage recording and transcription preferences?
Calls and reflections on Worlds are recorded and transcribed to provide the service, and the app shows notice when this happens. You can manage your preferences and limit how your information is used in the app’s settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I report or block someone?
If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can report or block them directly in the app after a call. Reports are reviewed by our team, and accounts that violate our Terms can be suspended or removed.
How do I hide or delete my account data?
You can delete your account and data directly in the app (Settings → Delete account). You can also request access to, export, or correction of your data by emailing privacy@wrlds.co. Deleting your account removes your profile, phone number, contacts, call history, recordings, and transcripts. Records related to abuse reports may be retained for up to 90 days where legally required.
Calls keep dropping or won’t connect
Connection issues are usually network-related. Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data, moving to a spot with a stronger signal, and making sure the app is up to date. If the problem continues, restart your device and try again — and if it still persists, email us at support@wrlds.co.
your safety and privacy matter
If anyone behaves inappropriately on a call, you can report or block them directly inside the app. You can also manage your recording preferences in the app’s settings. Read our child safety standards.
